The Monk’s Kitchen at Gloucester Cathedral is teaming up with the Gloucester Strings Ukulele Club to offer a unique dining experience this summer.

Taking place on Saturday 21 August 2021, guests can listen to the group play whilst enjoying ‘Tea on the Green’ – a boxed version of their popular afternoon tea.

The Gloucester Strings Ukulele Club will play at 2pm and 3pm, with both performances lasting around 45 minutes. Visitors can enjoy their afternoon tea on the picnic tables nearby or bring their own picnic blanket and find a sunny spot on Lower College Green while enjoying the live music.

The ‘Tea on the Green’ includes a sandwich, either a fruit or plain scone with strawberry or raspberry jam, and a slice of traybake cake, plus a hot or cold drink – with gluten free options available – at a cost of £9.50.

The Monk’s Kitchen will be taking pre-orders for pick-up before 2pm, with payment taken on collection.

For more information, or to place an order, call The Monk’s Kitchen on (01452) 689755.
