Opening its doors for a Whole School Open Morning on Saturday 7 June 2025, The King’s School Gloucester is inviting prospective pupils and their families to get to know the leading independent day school.
Providing an inspirational learning environment for boys and girls aged three to 18, the multi-award-winning school has been educating children since 1541 and has a special relationship with Gloucester Cathedral, which is just next door.
The forward-thinking school aims to help its 730-strong student community become 'happy, confident and kind individuals who are well-equipped to play their part in a challenging and fast-changing world', with its pupil-centred approach designed to cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Its latest ISI inspection report declared the school 'excellent in all areas' and highlighted students' excellent academic achievement and personal development, too.
Benefitting from small class sizes, stimulating lessons and a broad co-curricular offering spanning music, performing and creative arts to sport, King's upcoming Whole School Open Morning invites visitors to follow its interactive Discovery Trail around the school, accompanied by a current pupil, to see the top class facilities and meet inspirational teaching staff.
Families also have the opportunity to chat to the admissions team about the application process, as well as the range of scholarships and bursaries available to pupils — including becoming one of Gloucester Cathedral's choristers.
Anyone wishing to attend the Whole School Open Morning must register online in advance and book an arrival time, with slots available at 9am, 9.30am and 10am.
