Longfield Community Hospice is hosting a fundraising event that takes participants on a glorious walk through the Cotswolds countryside, while offering the chance to chat with family, friends and other walkers.
Spot beautiful wildflowers and admire the stunning views across Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons, alongside Longfield's trained counsellors who will also be in attendance – and will be open to conversations about mental health throughout.
Taking place on Saturday 6 September 2025, walkers and talkers can choose between a 5k or 10k route and set off from Longfield's base in Minchinhampton.
Fundraisers will hit the trails from 3pm, with the event continuing into the evening with live music, garden games and drinks from a licensed bar back at the hospice. Non-walkers are also invited to join in the fun back at base until 7pm.
Registration for Walk (& Talk) for Longfield costs £7.50 per adult and £5 per child – with dogs welcome to join the journey, too!
The registration fee helps cover the cost of the event, with food available to purchase back at the hospice at an extra cost.
Attendees are encouraged to donate or fundraise to help Longfield provide its services including its Hospice at Home programme, counselling, bereavement support and wellbeing services for Gloucestershire people with life-limiting conditions.
Participants will receive a link to set up a JustGiving page after registering, to help them in their sponsorship efforts.
