10 Gloucestershire venues offering takeaway roast dinners

With mountains of roasties, Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy, SoGlos has rounded up 10 Gloucestershire restaurants' offering takeaway roast dinners to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

We’re all desperate to be able to go to a restaurant and have a sit-down meal that we haven’t had to cook ourselves — and that includes enjoying a delicious Sunday roast from your favourite cosy, Gloucestershire pub.

Thankfully, you don’t have to wait for lockdown to be over as SoGlos has rounded up 10 Gloucestershire venues offering you the chance to enjoy their homemade roast dinners from the comfort of your own home – with takeaway and delivery options, click and collect services as well as easy-to-follow cooking instructions.


1. The Farmer’s Boy Inn in Longhope

With a range of meats to choose from, as well as a vegetarian option, Longhope’s award-winning The Farmer’s Boy Inn is doing takeaway roast dinners to have delivered straight to your door, or you can use the click and collect option. Orders can be placed through Facebook or via the JustEat app.


2. The Suffolk Arms in Cheltenham

Love Sunday dinners but hate the cooking? Cheltenham’s The Suffolk Arms’ ‘non-prep Sunday roast box’ are perfect for that. They come with all the trimmings, as well as simple cooking instructions. You can order the boxes via the website and can opt for a sharer option for two or a family box. Orders must be placed by 8pm on Friday.


3. The Bell Inn in Langford

Award-winning Cotswold pub, The Bell Inn, is offering a takeaway menu including a range of Sunday roasts which changes every week – and has included chicken, pork and beef. The Langford pub’s takeaway menu is available from noon to 3pm and 5.30pm to 9pm and you can order by phone on (01367) 860249.

4. The Royal in Cheltenham

With a whole host of roasts to choose from including lamb, pork and chicken, Charlton Kings’ The Royal is offering takeaway Sunday lunches – all of which come with, of course, a Yorkshire pudding. You can place an order through the website and even pre-order ahead of Sunday.


5. The Gardeners Arms in Tewkesbury

The Sunday lunches at The Gardeners Arms in Tewkesbury are proving extremely popular, with the option to have them delivered straight to your door. Call The Gardeners Arms on (01242) 620 257 to book your delivery slot.


6. The Find in Cheltenham

Cheltenham’s The Find is providing roast dinners for both collection and delivery. The Regency Street venue’s roast dinner boxes include a choice of chicken, beef, pork, a vegetarian option or even a beef wellington which has been added to the menu by popular demand. Orders can be made via The Find’s website and must be placed before Friday.


7. The Wheatsheaf Inn in Cirencester

A traditional pub in the heart of Cirencester, the Wheatsheaf Inn is offering takeaway Sunday lunches with a choice of four meats. You can either collect your roast dinner or have it delivered and orders can be placed by calling the Wheatsheaf Inn on (01285) 653674.


8. The Tavern Inn in Kemble

Cooked fresh each week using locally sourced vegetables and meats, The Tavern Inn in Kemble is doing takeaway Sunday Roasts available for collection between noon and 2pm. Orders can be made either by Facebook or by calling The Tavern Inn on (01285) 770216.


9. The Trouble House in Tetbury

After popular demand, The Trouble House in Tetbury has begun a takeaway service again — including its homemade roast dinners. The roasts are available between noon and 2.30pm and you can place an order by calling The Trouble House on (01666) 502206 before noon on the Saturday before.


10. The London Inn

Charlton Kings’ The London Inn is offering takeaway Sunday dinners, with its most recent offering including the choice of chicken, beef or lamb. For more information or to place an order, head to The London Inn’s Facebook page.
