Fast food fans will be pleased to hear that Burger King have plans to open a new drive-thru in Cheltenham.

The burger giant submitted a planning application to Cheltenham Borough Council on Wednesday 22 September 2021 detailing their plans to open a venue at Gallagher Retail Park.

The new Burger King restaurant will have a drive-thru and will occupy 232 square metres, which currently comprises of outdoor landscape space and a part of a car park.

Burger King’s new site will create 30 jobs and will join the likes of Costa, Greggs, Subway and McDonalds.

It will, no doubt, feature fans of the chain’s favourite food items including the Chicken Royale and The Whopper, as well as the Plant Based Whopper and Vegan Royale.

Plans for the new venue comes not long after a new Burger King opened on Bristol Road in Gloucester and showcased the company’s updated, modern restaurant design roll-out.

To celebrate the Gloucester opening, Burger King gave away 100 crown-shaped car air fresheners to the first 100 people through its drive-through which meant they were entitled to a free cheeseburger any time a meal is bought at that specific drive-thru for the next year.

The opening date for Cheltenham’s new Burger King venue hasn’t been announced yet and further planning applications will need to be submitted.
