6. The Painswick

Voted Hotel of the Year 2016 by The Sunday Times' Travel section, The Painswick has certainly made an impression since it opened its doors in spring 2016 after a complete overhaul by new owners, Calcot Hotels, who transformed the property into a stylish boutique bolthole.
