July might be full of summer evening drinks in the garden and picnics in the park, but there's also plenty to keep business people busy this July — and we're even planning for Christmas already!

Evening networking event with CIPR South West at Gloucester Brewery

CIPR South West — a Chartered Institute of Public Relations regional branch — is going on a networking tour this summer, giving CIPR members and non-members the opportunity to network with other public relations businesses and also meet some of the CIPR committee.

Taking place on Thursday 4 July 2024 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at Warehouse 4 at Gloucester Brewery in the Docks, tickets include an arrival drink and canapés.

Apprenticeship roadshow in the Forest of Dean

Showcasing all things apprenticeships, the Gloucestershire Careers Hub is setting up at AccXel Construction School in Cinderford for this bonanza roadshow with tutors, employers, training providers and a vast panel of experts and advisors to answer all your questions about apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, employment, training and more.

The event takes place on Monday 8 July 2024 from 5pm to 7pm — secure your spot via Eventbrite.

Hollie Gazzard Trust Active Bystander Conference 2024 at Hartpury University

The Hollie Gazzard Trust — SoGlos's Charity of the Year 2024 — is hosting the country's first Active Bystander Conference this July 2024, with expert speakers and academics sharing how Active Bystander training can empower communities to intervene in harassment, abuse and violence.

On Wednesday 10 July 2024 with registrations from 9am and the conference starting at 10am, keynote speakers on this potentially life-saving topic at the event at Hartpury University include Bishop of Gloucester Rt. Reverend Rachel Treweek; chair of the Race and Equality Commission Gloucestershire, Rupert Walters; and Exeter University associate professor, Rachel Fenton, among others.

Christmas business workshop for the hospitality sector at No 131 in Cheltenham

Neighbourhood networking event at Parsonage 53 in Dursley

Set up by local business owners who realised that Dursley was lacking for networking opportunities, this new breakfast networking event takes place on the second Thursday of every month.

At restaurant Parsonage 53 in Dursley on Thursday 11 July 2024 from 8.30am to 10am, the event kicks off with tea, coffee and pastries, with the chance to connect and get to know the local community and its businesses.
