Arguably one the biggest outdoor events in the UK, the Royal International Air Tattoo will return to Fairford from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July 2019.

SoGlos has picked the must-see moments from across the weekend, with new exhibits for 2019 and special guests.

1. Tim Peake at Royal International Air Tattoo


British astronaut, Tim Peake, will be a huge draw for this year’s Air Tattoo. Heading to the show on Friday 19 July 2019, Tim Peake will be meeting visitors and celebrating this year’s theme of space.

The first British ESA astronaut to visit The International Space Station, Tim Peake is a must-see at this year’s show.

The Red Arrows at Royal International Air Tattoo


A definite highlight year-on-year, the Red Arrows will be taking to the skies for a spectacular display across all three days. What’s more, the 2019 shows mark the last time to see the Red Arrows before they head off on a American tour.

3. Business Club at Royal International Air Tattoo


A first for 2019, the Business Club at the Royal International Air Tattoo is the perfect opportunity for businesses or organisations to network and sponsor events on Friday 19 July 2019.

Attendees will enjoy an insightful talk from a guest speaker as well as having the perfect spot to watch the flying displays.

4. The Blades at Royal International Air Tattoo


Flying over the Air Tattoo for the first time this summer, the Blades Aerobatic Team is the only aerobatic airline in the world. With a wealth of flying experience between them, the team will put on a spectacular show.

5. Pit Access at Royal International Air Tattoo


On Friday 19 July 2019, visitors can get up close and personal in the pit area. Aircraft will be parked up before and after they take to the skies for a spectacular show, and visitors can get a better view of the impressive planes.

6. RAF Experience at Royal International Air Tattoo


Meet some of the men and women who protect the UK’s airspace at the RAF Experience. There’s the chance to see the state-of-the-art equipment the RAF uses, and get an insight into what the RAF is working on in particular at the moment.

7. Techno Zone ® at Royal International Air Tattoo


Offering a fantastic hands-on experience, The Techno Zone® at Royal International Air Tattoo is packed full of interactive exhibitions and exciting talks to inspire younger visitors.

8. Spanish Harrier at Royal International Air Tattoo


2019 will also see the long-awaited return of Spanish Harrier after last heading to the Air Tattoo all the way back in 1994.

These incredible aircrafts can fly backwards, sideways and land vertically. An absolute must see, the Spanish Navy Harriers will put on a great show.
