Firepits and fairy lights create an atmospheric setting for socialising from October through to December.

Whether you want an excuse to break out the fancy dress, relive your youth, have a laugh, enjoy a night out with friends that won’t break the bank - or impress them with your cider and cheese pairing knowledge - Dunkertons Cider has it all, with heaters, blankets and mulled cider on tap at its undercover space.

While the nights may be drawing in, there's still plenty to look forward to, as SoGlos rounds up 10 excellent reasons to keep going out and about throughout the autumn and winter months - a Halloween party, a harvest barn dance and late night Christmas shopping among them!

Starting off with a welcome cider on arrival, masterclasses at Dunkertons Cider last around two hours and include a guided tour of the cidery, a lesson in cider blending with the master cider maker and a souvenir Dunkertons Cider glass goblet to take home. Tickets cost £35 per person and masterclasses are held at 3pm on Saturday 15 October and Saturday 26 October 2022.

Harvest Barn Dance

Cowboy boots and Stetsons at the ready - Dunkertons Cider will be handing out prizes for the best dressed at its barn dance on Friday 21 October 2022, complete with a live band, a caller to talk you through the moves and food trucks including The Sourdough Pizza Company, Ronnie's and the Bombay Street Food Company to help keep everyone going. Tickets for the adults-only event cost £10 per person.

Halloween specials

Getting its ghoul on for Halloween, Dunkertons Cider is running a Spooky Spidery Tour and Organic Cider & Cheese Pairing on Saturday 29 October 2022, with fancy dress encouraged - at least if you want to be in with a chance of winning an organic hamper full of award-winning British produce. Kicking off with an organic mulled cider and apple cake on arrival, the traditional cidery tour will take place by torchlight.
