Calcot Fitness Club in Tetbury

The highly sought after Calcot & Spa is launching a new £5 million purpose-built luxury members' club in February 2024, promising to help visitors connect mind, body and soul.

Named 'The Grain Store', it will house a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor gym, spin shed, holistic studio and exercise studio with stunning countryside views — as well as a cafe to work, relax and refuel in. The official opening date is yet to be confirmed but it's due to open its doors this month.

Laser Quest in Gloucester

Step into your own video game this February 2024, when the UK's leading laser-tag experience — Laser Quest — lands at Gloucester's King's Walk, with the launch of multi-brand activity centre by We Do Play.

Located in the former Primark store, the entertainment experience promises 'pulse-pounding' action for thrill-seekers of all ages as they enter a world of galactic-themed labyrinths, catwalks and mazes, zapping opponents with laser precision. Laser Quest is set to open its doors to keen adventurers on Saturday 10 February 2024.

Cotswold Vegan Bakery in Cheltenham

Get your hands on a vegan treat in Cheltenham this February 2024, when Cotswold Vegan Bakery opens its brand-new shop on London Road.

Plant-based aficionados and curious customers can indulge in cake slices, cookies, mini loaf cakes and other sweet treats, as well as a variety of giftware, from greetings cards to books, all sourced from small local businesses. Cotswold Vegan Bakery is now open, with walk-ins available on Thursdays and Fridays.

Dosa Park in Cirencester

While it was originally due to open in January 2024 and the official opening date is still under wraps, popular Oxfordshire restaurant group, Dosa Park, is set to open its first Gloucestershire venue this February 2024 — with staff training already underway.

Taking over the former Tierra and Mar on Sheep Street in Cirencester, which closed its doors after five years in June 2023, Dosa Park specialises in South Indian cuisine like its namesake dosas, idlis (savoury rice cakes), savoury fried vadas and more familiar favourites like biryanis and curries.

Travelbag in Cheltenham

Moving from its previous location on Pittville Street, specialist travel agent, Travelbag, is opening a new branch on Cheltenham's Promenade on Monday 5 February 2024 — replacing high street retailer Phase Eight.

One of only six stores in the UK, the business specialises in holidays to long haul destinations including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, offering jetsetters the chance to plan and organise their dream holiday trip in collaboration with its dedicated travel specialists.
