Darren Orsi and Jason Orsi, co-owners of Fat Toni's, are about to open their biggest business yet – a brand-new Italian restaurant in Stroud.

Fat Toni’s is launching a new 108-seater Italian restaurant next to Vue Cinema in Five Valleys Shopping Centre in Stroud – with work beginning on the new venue in May 2022.

Stroud’s newest restaurant will serve trademark sourdough pizzas, cooked fresh in house, as well as a range of wines.

Darren Orsi, co-owner of Fat Toni’s Pizzeria, which already has a takeaway in the Stroud shopping centre, said: ‘Pizza always tastes better when it’s made with fresh produce and is straight out of the oven.

‘We want to give our customers a dining experience that matches our food, and to do that we need a contemporary Italian restaurant.’

Jessica Derham, Five Valleys centre manager, said: ‘We are very proud to have Fat Toni’s as one of our independent businesses. They are a great family business who are full of energy.

‘Their latest restaurant will give fresh life to Stroud’s night-time economy, allowing families to experience a true Italian dining experience before seeing the latest blockbuster at Vue Cinema.’

Since joining Five Valleys in 2019, the family run business – which also has Fat Toni’s takeaways in Quedgeley, Cheltenham and Bishop’s Cleeve – said its business had gone from strength-to-strength and it had now signed a 15 year long lease at the centre.
