Gloucester Rugby fans were able to enjoy food and drinks without queuing for the bar, thanks to a new, Covid-safe seat delivery service from Freemans Event Partners.

The Gloucester-based events catering company worked with the Premiership Rugby team to introduce an innovative way to order and deliver refreshments at the match against London Harlequins on Monday 14 September 2020.

Supporters at Kingsholm Stadium were able to order and pay for food and drinks using a mobile app, with a team of runners on hand to deliver their orders straight to their seats.

After successfully delivering over 559 orders to 1,000 fans, Freemans Event Partners hopes to continue using the Seat Serve app at Kingsholm Stadium and more sporting venues across the UK, if the government allows live sporting events to return.

Freemans Event Partners CEO, Stephen Freeman, said: ‘This has been a fantastic return for the fans and indeed top flight rugby in England. We were really pleased to be part of the fan experience and being able to deliver quality food and beverages.’
