Popular Gloucestershire attraction, Slimbridge Wetland Centre, has received a national award for its excellent outdoor education this February 2022.

The UK’s leading wetland conservation charity has been awarded a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge, showing its classes and experiences are rated as excellent.

Classes within the 100 acres of wetland include pond dipping, learning how to help migratory birds and getting to grips with the water cycle.

Sue Belej, learning and engagement manager at WWT Slimbridge, said: ‘We’re delighted to have received this award once again for our education provision.

‘We pride ourselves on delivering hands-on discovery sessions covering habitat, species and conservation themes for a wide range of ages and abilities.’
