In a glittering awards ceremony hosted at Aerospace Bristol, under the wings of the iconic Concorde, Hartpury College and University won the Value Award at the 2023 Constructing Excellence South West awards.

Part of the team that helped develop the facility, Gloucestershire-based architects firm, Roberts Limbrick shared the news on its social media and said: 'We are delighted to be part of the team that delivered the project.'

Work on the modern site began in 2021 and includes state-of-the-art technology and features that focus on sustainability — like its statement wooden panelled exterior.

The Value Award celebrates businesses that have taken on an initiative or project that focuses on adding value to owners and users through the building or renovation of its facilities.

As well as serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner from its catering hub, the premesis also includes flexible teaching spaces for students.

Decided by a panel of industry experts, as well as Constructing Excellence South West board members and sponsors, the shortlisted entries are then interviewed by the judges before the winner is decided.

The panel's rationale read: 'Hartpury Graze symbolises the strategic objectives of Constructing Excellence. The model is centred around delivering value by prioritising their people, adopting a forward-thinking approach and possessing a profound understanding of how driving value through carbon reduction can unlock numerous benefits in other areas.

'Ultimately, their efforts result in providing the end users of this facility with a building they can genuinely take pride in.'
