Entries have now closed for the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2022, made possible this year by Hazlewoods and Willans LLP – with 382 nominations received in total.
More than 170 different county companies are now in the running to be shortlisted, which will guarantee them a place at the awards ceremony on Thursday 20 October 2022, due to be staged at an, as yet, undisclosed location.
Decisions on just which firms will be attending what has fast established itself as one of the biggest Gloucestershire business events of the year now lie with a judging panel made up of the awards sponsors, including headline partners Hazlewoods and Willans LLP.
James Fyrne, group publisher and co-founder of SoGlos, which now has a combined monthly reach of 261,500, said: ‘The take-up when we launched this even last year completely blew us away, so to see the interest repeated this year is brilliant – and from some fantastic Gloucestershire businesses too.’
Last year saw 300 guests enjoy an evening of relaxed networking, food and drink at the showcase event, staged at Weston Aviation’s Gloucestershire Airport hangar, with compère Steve Knibbs revealing the SGGBA 2021 winners. He will return to do the honours again this year.
Entries have again come from exciting new businesses to established major employers, Gloucestershire family firms, tech and cyber-focused companies, manufacturers, exporters, food, retail, professional services, engineering and tourism.
SoGlos plans to reveal the shortlist at the end of July 2022 and feature some of those firms vying for honours thereafter.
