Jai and Reena of Revive! Auto Innovations Gloucester have been voted the best newly-launched business in the south west of England.

A husband-and-wife led team, specialising in mobile vehicle bodywork repairs in Gloucestershire, is celebrating being lauded as the best newly-launched business in the south west of England.

Revive! Auto Innovations Gloucester, owned by Jai and Reena Patel, clinched the coveted Consumer Services Start-Up of the Year title at the South West StartUp Awards at a ceremony staged at the Propyard in Bristol.

The business, which is part of a 50-plus UK-wide Revive! franchise network fought off competition from three other shortlisted companies from a variety of sectors – including a sleep consultancy, an interior designer and a life coach.

Jai said: ‘There are so many excellent start-ups in the Gloucestershire area, so to be nominated for this award is a real honour.

‘To achieve this feat alongside my wife Reena has made it all the more special, even if it can be challenging to run a business with your partner sometimes.’

Reena said: ‘We knew that launching the business during the Covid-19 pandemic was a risky move, but we have worked hard to make it a success despite the odds being against us at time. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.’

The judges were impressed with the Patel’s 'fresh approach' to repairing vehicles, which sees one of the firm’s team of four technicians travel to a customer’s home or workplace to conduct a repair rather than the vehicle being dropped off at a body shop.

It is an approach which has translated into 'strong financial results', with Revive! Auto Innovations Gloucester achieving 231 per cent sales growth in its second year of trading and an annual turnover of £240,000.

Ninety eight per cent of the business’s reviews on respected online review platform Trustpilot rated it five stars (excellent) or very good (four-stars).
