Owner and managing director, Neville Morse, said the Janes Pantry group’s 11th business had created 15 new jobs.

Janes Pantry has opened its biggest venue yet – a 48-seater café and bakery north of Gloucester, which is the result of a £300,000 investment.

The Gloucester-headquartered firm has taken over and fitted out a unit at the new business centre in Twigworth, located just off the A48, which was built by Boddington-based developer, Robert Hitchins.

Cheltenham legal experts Converse Law acted for Janes Pantry and BPE Solicitors for Robert Hitchins to make the deal possible between the two firms. It is understood that the expansion has created 15 new jobs.

Neville Morse, managing director of Janes Pantry, said: ‘It’s more than a bakery and a coffee shop – we’ve got great food, a full brunch menu, burgers, vegan meals and we’ve applied for a licence to serve alcohol.’

Morse runs Janes Pantry with his wife, Tania, accountant and daughter, Amy, and area manageress, Tracy Burris.

Karen Vaughan-Edwards, asset manager at Robert Hitchins, said the next opening at the Twigworth development would be the Midcounties Co-Operative’s 4,000 square foot convenience store on Thursday 17 February 2022.

Three units that range in size from 1,000 to 3,000 square foot remain at the centre, which sits at the entrance to the new Twigworth Green development of 725 new homes.
