Gloucestershire production company, StillMoving, has appointed a new managing director.
In an incredible success story, Nathan Ryan, who first joined the company as a photography intern in 2017, is now taking up the managing director role.
Having interned at StillMoving after graduating from university, he returned to his native Switzerland to complete national service in the Swiss Armed Forces, before returning to StillMoving full-time as a producer and retoucher in 2019.
Nathan's contributions have grown in line with the business, having worked across every department from production and post-production, to creative and direction – with credits for national and global advertising campaigns for prestige brands including Aston Martin, Porsche, Superdry and Vax.
In his most recent role as head of studio, Nathan had an instrumental part in shaping StillMoving's spectacular Bishop's Cleeve studio to ensure the space met the company's ambitious creative and operational needs.
His extensive experience gives him a deep and comprehensive understanding of the business, which is now one of the south west's leading film and photography production houses, with a multitude of awards to its name, making his promotion to managing director a 'natural progression'.
In his new role, Nathan's focus shifts to team development, enhancing client experience and thoughtfully integrating generative AI and podcasting into StillMoving's offering – while continuing to further the company's commitment to collaboration, innovation and ambitious visual storytelling.
Nathan said: 'StillMoving has been a huge part of my life and career. I’ve been lucky to grow alongside an incredible team of people who deeply care about what they do.
'As we move into this next chapter, my focus is on sustaining our growth while keeping that same creative energy and team spirit that’s always defined us.'
