One of the biggest festivals in Cheltenham’s calendar, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, has launched a hunt for local talent to perform at the festival as part of its Around Town programme.

Taking place from Tuesday 5 to Sunday 10 May 2020, the search welcomes applications from acoustic singer-songwriters, bands, dancers, artists and street performers.

Festivals director Ian George said: ‘Participating in the Around Town programme is a great way to get yourself noticed – jazz artists, agents and promoters are around morning and night taking in the jazz vibe over the Festival period.’

A number of different opportunities are available, with pop-up performances in the town centre and free stage slots at the festival site all up for grabs.

Performers will be paid a fixed expenses fee of £160 and will also be featured in the Around Town flyer, on the Cheltenham Festivals website and on the festival’s app.

The deadline for applications is Monday 3 February 2020.
