Warm up this winter 2022 as Cheltenham Town Football Club opens its Typecraft Suite as a warm hub for the local community.

Helping the community stay warm this winter as the effects of the cost of living crisis hit home, Cheltenham Town Football Club is opening a warm hub once a week in the run-up to Christmas 2022.

In partnership with Cheltenham Town Community Trust, it will be opening the doors to its Typecraft Suite every Monday to provide a warm, safe space for locals to come to, with hot drinks and breakfast supplies available, too.

The club is welcoming locals who are struggling to heat their homes due to skyrocketing energy prices, as well as anyone experiencing loneliness, with the warm hub being fully staffed so visitors will always have company - although Cheltenham Town has pointed out that this room doesn't have disabled access.

The warm hub is being funded by partners Mira Showers and Selco Builders Warehouse, both of which have actively supported the club's community work in the last few months, helping to cement its important role in the local community.

Cheltenham Town fan elected director, Dave Beesley, said: 'This is a fantastic example of organisations who have their community close to their hearts working together.

'Our special thanks go to the Community Trust, to our fantastic partners at Mira Showers, Selco and Cheltenham Borough Council for their support in getting this project off the ground.'

The warm hub at Cheltenham Town FC is open from 10am to 12pm every Monday until Monday 19 December 2022.
