The annual Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza, due to take place from Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August 2020 at South Cerney Airfield near Cirencester, has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

A statement from the organisers said the latest Government information indicates further restrictions may come into place to fight the outbreak of Coronavirus, so they have decided it would be irresponsible to continue with this year’s show, with the safety of volunteers, contractors, exhibitors and visitors in mind.

The Cotswold event attracts 20,000 visitors a year and requires significant emergency services cover and assistance from the military base where it is hosted, which organisers feel is too much of a burden during the current pandemic.

The event will return in 2021, from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 August 2021.
