Go monster hunting in Gloucester this summer 2020 on the MonsterHero Safari trail from Gloucester City Council.

There are 10 cute characters hidden at various locations around the city centre. Using contactless NFC technology and scannable QR codes, keen-eyed families can head to each location, then scan or tap to play along for a £2 minimum donation.

Each MonsterHero has its own name, story and superpowers. Collect all 10 characters to unlock an eBook with a story about the MonsterHeroes first adventure.

Designed to be a fun post-lockdown activity for families, the trail can be started at any of the 10 locations around Gloucester city centre, and there’s plenty of space to observe social distancing while out and about.

Gloucester is one of 100 cities across the country taking part in the MonsterHero Safari, which aims to raise £100,000 for NHS Charities Together.

Cabinet Member for Economic Recovery at Gloucester City Council, Councillor Dawn Melvin, said: ‘We are really looking forward to welcoming families back to the city with this fun, interactive, digital and charitable activity.

‘It is important we continue to support our high street and work towards the economic revival of our city, and this Safari enables families to do it in a safe way during the pandemic. I’m really looking forward to seeing some happy Monster hunters out and about.’
