From bug hunting to how to make a mini pond in the garden, WWT has launched new home learning hub during lockdown.

From finding out what birds visit your garden to learning how to make a mini pond, a brand new WWT home learning hub has been launched, packed with curriculum-linked science resources – perfect if you’re missing those Slimbridge visits.

Updated every Monday morning, from Monday 27 April 2020, the WWT’s home learning hub is packed with fun activities and informational resources created by experts.

‘Our home learning lesson plans have been designed specifically with families in mind,’ the WWT has said, and ‘all the activities will link to the primary curriculum and enable you to teach your children about science and the natural world.’

Lesson plans span topics such as habitats, migration and wetland animals, with family fun activities including making origami swans and bug hunting identification sheets.
