Whopper fans rejoice, Burger King is opening a new restaurant in Gloucester – and there isn’t long to wait until you can get your hands on one.

The new Burger King opened its doors at The Old Log Pond development on Bristol Road on Wednesday 7 July 2021.

The opening will create 30 new jobs for the area, with Burger King looking for 25 restaurant ‘crew’ members, who will get staff perks such as free meals at work and 50 per cent off for friends and family – with positions spanning front of house and kitchen roles.

Seven managerial roles are also being created, with restaurant shift manager positions open to applications already.

Burger King says it wants candidates ‘who have fire in their belly’ to lead and develop its teams in a high energy work environment, while also providing excellent customer service.

Jeremy Wright, people director of Burger King UK, said: ‘During what has been a very challenging year for many businesses, we are delighted to be creating new job and career opportunities in the area, and look forward to welcoming 30 new starters into the Burger King family, at our new Gloucester restaurant.’

The new restaurant will be the second in Gloucester, with the city’s other Burger King at the opposite end of Bristol Road at the Peel Centre.

And to celebrate the launch of the new venue, Burger King is giving away 1,000 free Whoppers from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 July 2021.

To claim a free burger all you need to do is download the Burger King app and show the voucher on the app titled ‘Gloucester only: Opening special’ at the drive thru.
