Badminton Estate announces catalogue of fabulous festive activities for Christmas 2023

From Christmas cocktail making to whiskey and chocolate tasting, Badminton Estate has plenty on offer to keep crafty hands busy and foodies thoroughly entertained.

With wine tasting sessions, giant knitting lessons and the chance to craft your own Christmas wreath, there's plenty to get you into the festive spirit at Badminton Estate this year.

The beautiful grounds of Badminton Estate are well known for hosting incredible events, from fantasy weddings to elegant corporate gatherings.

This Christmas the team has lined up a host highlights running up to Christmas 2023, guaranteed to put plenty of sparkle into the festive season.

Kicking off the extensive list of experiences is a wine tasting session with expert and Waitrose Drinks editor, Joanna Simon. On Saturday 28 October 2023 from 5pm to 7pm, Simon will explore a curated selection of wines from across the globe. Food pairings are also included in the price of £90 per person, as well as a welcome glass of Woodchester Valley Vineyard's sparkling wine on arrival.

The fun doesn't stop for food and drink lovers with opportunities to learn new skills with cocktail making with The Bar Bros on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 November 2023, with food supplied by Truffle and Thyme included in the cost of £60 per person.

For those looking to craft their own Christmas wreath to dress their doors in this winter, there's a session with The Chunky Needle on Saturday 2 December 2023 from 11.30am to 1pm, where you can learn how to make a unique wreath using the merino wool finger-knitting technique, for £68 per person.

There's also a traditional Christmas wreath making class with The Flower Hut Tetbury on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December 2023, accompanied by mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies, for £65 per person.

On Friday 8 December 2023, from 7pm-9pm, whiskey and chocolate fans can try six classic single malt whiskies served by distiller David Wood alongside handmade chocolates from The Highland Chocolatier in Pitlochry in The Highlands for £65.

A mince pie making class is scheduled to take place on Saturday 9 December 2023, for £80 per person chef Julie Jones is back to lead a hands-on workshop, passing on her skills in intricate pastry design to create delicious renditions of the Christmas classic. Lunch and a glass of bubbles is also included in the price — to really get attendees in the festive spirit!
