Walking through the doors of Son of Steak, the only nod to its former life as a Harvester, is the location of the loos! The venue has been completely transformed into a hipster-chic dining room, complete with vintage birdcage lighting, and industrial tables.

The stylish bar stocks its own pre-mixed Mojito on tap, that’s been created exclusively for Son of Steak in conjunction with Bacardi.

Taking SoGlos on a tour of the restaurant is Son of Steak’s general manager, Phil Davies: ‘Essentially it’s good quality food at a very reasonable price. We’ve got lots of great steaks, burgers, chicken, vegetarian options, and salads.

‘It’s quick service, so it’s great for grabbing before or after you head to the cinema, or on a night out.’

Cheltenham is currently the second Son of Steak in the country, with the other being located in Nottingham. Upon entering the restaurant diners are greeted by a life-size cow statue, detailing which cuts come from which part of the animal.

Phil explained: ‘We use a supplier who hand cuts all our steak for us, so we can ensure the quality is good. We’ve also got all the different cuts detailed up on the wall too, so people can see what we sell and where it comes from.
