Cosy Club Cheltenham is partnering with charity Independent Age to offer free teas to those in need every Wednesday between 10am and 11am at its restaurant in The Brewery Quarter.

The scheme, called ‘Free Teas for Those in Need’, launched on Wednesday 3 July 2019 in all Cosy Club restaurants across the UK.

In a 2019 study by the Campaign to End Loneliness, it was discovered that more than nine-million people in the UK frequently feel lonely. Cosy Club hopes to combat this by offering a relaxing environment for communities to meet new people of all ages.

Cosy Club’s managing director, Amber Wood said: ‘There is no catch to Free Teas for Those in Need, we just believe that it’s a nice thing to do in our community, and hope that everyone passes this on to someone they know or family members who may benefit from meeting new people, and a good cup of tea, of course!’

As well as enjoying a hot drink, everyone is invited to come members can chat to the team or try their hand at a board game.
