During lockdown, The Bathurst Arms in North Cerney is serving up an organic lamb donner kebab, with homemade flatbread, mint yoghurt and pickled chilli – dubbed the ‘poshest kebab in the Cotswolds’.

All costing £10 each, the upmarket takeaway menu also includes a curried monkfish kebab or vegan beetroot and chickpea falafel kebab – available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sunday lunches.

‘Kebabs are not the only thing on our new organic take away menu,’ the Bathurst Arms’ manager and director Jordan Pelly, said. ‘We have Kentucky fried pheasant, corn tortilla tacos and bean chilli (and) Tom Long pulled BBQ beef brisket served in a Hobbs House brioche bun with sticky onions.’

See The Bathhurst Arms or call (01285) 832150 to order from 3pm and collect from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; or order from 9.30am and collect between 12pm and 2.30pm on Sundays.
