Foodies in the Cotswolds can get their hands on homegrown and artisan produce from Roots + Seeds new deli when it opens in Cirencester this March 2024.

Popular foodie destination, Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden, is opening a new deli at its site in Cirencester Park on Saturday 9 March 2024.

The cafe and restaurant at the Old Kennels in Cirencester is expanding its offering by opening its new deli in the unit directly opposite, next door to Lily's Antiques, selling the produce and ingredients used in its kitchen directly to consumers.

With its own on-site kitchen garden cultivated by green-fingered co-founder Toby Baggott, Roots + Seeds has a strong 'farm to fork' ethos, where homegrown, local and seasonal produce take centre stage on both its food and drinks menus.

The new deli will showcase produce picked daily from the kitchen garden, alongside seasonal and artisanal products made in-house or sourced from Roots + Seeds' regular suppliers, all with transparent and traceable supply chains.

Shoppers can expect to pick up Roots + Seeds' own-brand gin, head chef Sam Idoine's handmade foccacia, honey from Cirencester & District British Bee Association — of which Toby is a member, and locally-brewed kombucha; as well as whole bean and ground coffee from Cheltenham-based Ritual Coffee Roasters and Cirencester-based Rave Coffee; Benson's Juices, which are made from fruit grown in Gloucestershire; cheese from King Stone Dairy, made using milk from its own herd; Cacklebean Eggs from Stow-on-the-Wold; wines from Woodchester Valley Vineyard and Poulton Hill Estate; beers from Corinium Ales and Cotswold Lakes Brew Co; and Bushel + Peck cider and perry made using apples grown in Gloucestershire orchards.

Products featured on Roots + Seeds monthly-changing specials and daily blackboard menus will also be available to buy in the deli.

Toby said: 'Everything our suppliers deliver to the kitchen will be available to buy in our new deli. We really want to celebrate the amazing produce grown literally on our doorstep and introduce our incredible and dedicated suppliers to a wider audience.'

Roots + Seeds Deli opens at 9am on Saturday 9 March 2024 and will be open from 10am to 4pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays thereafter.
