Stroud independent venues taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme

UPDATED: With a brand-new vegan eatery taking part, discover the independent restaurants, pubs and cafés in Stroud registered for the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme, offering a 50 per cent discount on food mid-week in August 2020.

Participating restaurants, pubs and cafés in Stroud will be offering the chance for diners to save 50 per cent on food and non-alcoholic drinks, thanks to the government’s new Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Between Mondays and Wednesdays, from Monday 3 August 2020 to Monday 31 August 2020, plenty of venues across Stroud will be offering the discount – with savings of up to £10 per person.

Slimbridge Wetland Centre

With its Kingfisher Kitchen restaurant reopening on Monday 17 August 2020, Slimbridge Wetland Centre has announced it will be taking advantage of the government’s scheme, serving up half-priced grub to hungry families and birdwatchers alike.

Burleigh Court

Featuring freshly-baked scones, scrumptious homemade cakes and delightful finger sandwiches, Burleigh Court’s popular afternoon tea is available for just £9 per person during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The Olive Tree

From pizzas and Mediterranean delights to coffee and afternoon tea, customers can enjoy 50 per cent off food at The Olive Tree in Nailsworth.

Sorrento Restaurante and Pizzeria

With an array of authentic Italian cuisine on the menu, head to Sorrento Restaurante and Pizzeria in Stroud’s town centre for half-priced pizzas, pasta dishes and more.

Wild Garlic

Serving up house-made pasta and perfectly-cooked steaks, Wild Garlic in Nailsworth boasts a seasonal bistro menu that can be enjoyed for less this August.


The only vegan bar and restaurant in Stroud, Karibu is a brand-new jaunt with a delicious and varied plant-based menu. What’s more, it has registered to take part in the government’s new scheme this August, serving up vegan delights for less.

Tomari-gi Ramen Bar

Chow down on incredible Japanese food like ramen, gyoza and fried chicken for less this August, as Tomari-gi Ramen Bar at Five Valleys Market is taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The Bowbridge Arms

The Bell at Selsley

A traditional Cotswold inn, The Bell at Selsley champions local food and seasonal produce – and with its menus getting an update for August, customers can try its delicious new dishes with a discount too.

The Butcher's Arms

Woodruffs Organic Café

From homemade cakes to seasonal salad boxes, customers can get 50 per cent off Woodruffs’ delightful organic dishes – all of which are vegetarian-friendly, with plenty of vegan options too.
