Gloucester Cathedral to host indoor football tournament

With the World Cup taking place this summer, Gloucester Cathedral will offer football fans a chance to have a kick around inside the Cathedral with a five-a-side tournament set to take place this June.

Kicking things off this summer, Gloucester Cathedral are set to host their own slice of World Cup action with an exclusive football tournament for school-age children inside the iconic architectural gem.

The five-a-side tournament will take place on Saturday 16 June 2018 inside the Multi Use Games Area in the Nave of Gloucester Cathedral and will be open to any children looking to join in the fun and enjoy a kick-around with a difference.

With a host of activities, skill demonstrations, free games and refreshments available, the tournament will see teams of five battle it out inside the picture-perfect space, with individuals invited to spectate and join in with other activities on the day.

The event will take place from 10am to 9pm, with teams able to sign up via Gloucester Cathedral’s website.
