Gloucester Cathedral's Ready-Set-Sing family trail invites little visitors to follow in the footsteps of new Cathedral Choir chorister, Clara, this summer.
Explore the beautiful building taking part in fun, interactive challenges along the way – including warming up your voice, learning all about the cathedral's amazing instruments, trying on authentic choir robes, and more.
Suitable for people of all ages, the trail is open during the cathedral's standard visiting hours, and trail sheets cost £1.50 from the Welcome Desk on arrival.
Sound bathing sessions at Gloucester Cathedral
Providing an atmospheric and immersive environment for sound bathing, Gloucester Cathedral is hosting free family-friendly sound bathing sessions in the Chapter House – with the next one taking place from 10.30am until 2pm on Wednesday 5 August 2026.
With a specially commissioned soundtrack from local producer, Ratjost, enjoy sounds inspired by and recorded around the cathedral on a continuous loop, so you can drop in at any time during the session.
There are also mindful wellbeing activities suitable for all ages taking place alongside the sound bathing sessions, too.
ABBA concert at Gloucester Cathedral
ABBA fans won't want to miss hearing their favourite hits in such an impressive setting when the UK's leading ABBA tribute band bring The Music of ABBA by Candlelight to Gloucester Cathedral.
There are two performances, one at 6.15pm and one at 8.30pm on Saturday 8 August 2026, both of which promise to have audiences dancing in the aisles and singing along to the band's biggest hits like 'Mamma Mia', 'Super Trouper', 'Voulez Vous', 'Dancing Queen' and 'Money, Money, Money'.
