The end of World War I is being marked with a huge celebration at Cheltenham Racecourse this year, with the ‘Gloucestershire and Racing Remember’ day taking place on the final day of The November Meeting on Sunday 18 November 2018.

One of the major highlights planned includes a thrilling aerial combat display above the racecourse, which has never been performed before at the sporting venue.

There is also set to be a march of the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars soldiers dressed in traditional uniform, as well as a special Cheltenham steam train arriving with a contingent of Glorious Glosters on board, followed by a parade on the racetrack.

HRH The Princess Royal will be attending, and a range of World War I-themed activities will also be hosted inside The Centaur – including a field hospital and exhibits from the Jet Age Museum – all in addition to the horseracing action, and under 18s go free with a paying adult.
