To cycling fans he is already a god in the making, and when the AJ Bell Tour of Britain comes to Gloucestershire, everyone will be able to see Tom Pidcock for free as the elite cycling event races through the county.

The 23-year-old is a world champion in cyclo-cross, mountain bike and road bicycle racing, as well as an Olympic champion, and winner of a stage in the 2022 Tour de France after a dramatic descent of the 2,067-metre Col de la Croix de Fer at more than 60 mph.

Pidcock will be at the start line in Tewkesbury on Friday 9 September 2022, as part of team Ineos Grenadiers for stage six of the Tour of Britain, a 170.9 km route looping down through the Cotswolds and back up into Gloucester city centre.
