The first property at Gloucester’s new digital and technology campus, The Forum has gone on the market.

ONE Cathedral View is described as a ‘cutting edge digital integrated office’ with 85,121 square feet of internal space across seven floors – with the property being marketed by Bruton Knowles for an undisclosed sum.

Due to be available from quarter three in 2023, the building will feature three interlinked wings with flexible spaces which have been designed for both focussed and collaborative working. Each wing can be occupied individually, or in smaller clusters.

The building will also boast large windows overlooking Gloucester Cathedral, as well as private outdoor terraces offering spectacular views on floors five and six.

Its eco credentials are particularly impressive too, with ONE Cathedral View operating at Net-Zero-Carbon. The building itself will limit energy use through its passive design principles – which include maximising daylight to minimise the need for artificial light and a highly insulated façade to reduce energy loss – and will be powered by renewable energy, including electricity generated from the solar panels on its roof.

There will be movement-controlled sensor technology and low water usage fittings throughout the building, as well as natural ventilation, delivering up to 50 per cent lower operational costs. It will also allow for carbon offset payments each year.

The base build is also designed to reduce the need for fit-outs, lowering set-up costs for potential tenants as well as mitigating carbon emissions in the long-term.

For potential occupants, ONE Cathedral View tenants will have a gym and café within the building, as well as access to a members club and flexible co-working spaces at The Forge just next door; 398 new car parking spaces; bike parking, showers and changing facilities; electric car charging points; and 5G connectivity across the campus.

Not to mention the chance to be some of the first to occupy a development that’s set to completely transform Gloucester city centre.
