Mark Stewart, the managing director of Stewart Golf, said the win for his business at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2021 was brilliant – for the company and his incredible staff team.
The innovative golf trolley manufacturer won the International Business of the Year category, sponsored by Barclays, with his colleague, Ash Hunt, also shortlisted in the Employee of the Year category, sponsored by GB Solutions.
Stewart was speaking to SoGlos after his firm was singled out for still more praise – this time by two of the golf industry’s leading consumer titles for its sought-after electric golf trolleys, in particular the Q Follow model.
He said: ‘Stewart Golf is a consumer brand and as such our markets are both national and increasingly international. However, Gloucestershire is our home, so to be recognised here is important for many reasons.
‘Firstly, the breadth of incredible businesses in Gloucestershire is phenomenal – so to be considered their peers is very gratifying. Secondly, almost all of our staff are local, so it means a lot to them to be recognised for their amazing work and dedication.’
Entries for the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2022, sponsored by leading Gloucestershire accountants Hazlewoods and law firm Willans LLP, are open until Wednesday 1 June 2022.
Entry is free and easy with 22 categories to choose from. All of those shortlisted go before a panel of judges before the final line-up for the awards is announced on Wednesday 6 July 2022.
Every business on the final list will be invited to an exclusive awards night on Thursday 20 October 2022 at what will be one of Cheltenham’s newest buildings – the Minster Exchange – for an evening of networking and to celebrate this year’s winners.
