Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust photo competition now open for entries

Entries are now open for this year’s Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust photo competition with new categories and bigger prizes for 2020.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s annual photo competition is now open for entries. It’s asking for pictures of Gloucestershire’s beautiful scenery and wildlife taken on a smartphone, compact camera or SLR.

There are bigger prizes up for grabs and new categories to enter this year, including an ‘on your doorstep’ category so people can capture pictures in their gardens or on their daily exercise walks during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Adults and children can both enter, as there’s a dedicated juniors category for those aged 17 and under with its own prize. The trust hopes to get families doing photography sessions as a fun activity to do together.

Prizes include a family membership to Sudeley Castle for a year plus a hamper of goodies for the adult category, with gift cards for runners up, while the junior winner will receive a canvas print of their winning image.

Schools can also enter for the chance to win a half-day photography workshop with an award-winning wildlife photographer.

Entries close at midnight on Friday 31 July 2020. To find out more and to enter, visit
