A brand-new Hollywood movie about the astonishing life of Queen Katherine Parr is being released this September 2024 — and SoGlos is giving away 50 tickets to an exclusive screening right here in Gloucestershire.
Firebrand is set in 'blood-soaked Tudor England', with the screening taking place at the stunning Sudeley Castle and Gardens, where the real-life Queen Katherine Parr was laid to rest.
The historical epic stars Academy Award-winner Alicia Vikander as Katherine, with Jude Law taking on the hefty role of King Henry VIII.
Firebrand tells the story of their explosive relationship, from the huge risk Katherine took when she consented to marry the tyrannical king with a habit for killing his wives; her appointment to Regent, leading the country in Henry's absence while he was at war overseas; to the accusations of sympathising with radical Protestants which could easily have cost Katherine her own life.
SoGlos has teamed up with Sudeley Castle to give away a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see an exclusive screening of Firebrand within the walls of the famous castle, where the King and Queen themselves once walked.
There are 50 tickets up for grabs to the event, taking place in the historic Coach House at Sudeley Castle on Sunday 29 September 2024 — hosted by Lady Ashcombe.
As part of the experience, moviegoers will also be treated to an immersive Katherine Parr x Firebrand tour, where they'll get to explore the chapel where Queen Katherine is laid to rest and see a replica of one of her dresses, a prayer book and even some of her love letters, bringing the story of one of the country's most influential and courageous queens to life in the most authentic way.
