Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt

Event ended

Editor's Choice

Enchanted Christmas is back at Westonbirt Arboretum in December 2018, with a spectacular new illuminated trail, new Christmas Village, visits from Santa and plenty of festive cheer at the stunning Cotswolds attraction.

Westonbirt Arboretum will once again be welcoming families to celebrate an Enchanted Christmas at its signature winter event.

It takes place at the stunning Cotswolds attraction, near Tetbury, on selected dates between Saturday 1 to Sunday 23 December 2018.

Visit forestryengland.uk/Westonbirt/enchanted-christmas directly for more information and to book tickets.

Westonbirt’s Enchanted Christmas trail

This year’s dazzling attraction will see the introduction of a new route of breathtaking illuminations, twinkling lights, sparkle and colour, as visitors weave their way along the flat woodland trail, which is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.

The famous one-mile illuminated trail through the National Arboretum includes plenty of interactive features – the bike-powered lights, lights powered by singing into a microphone, and the unique opportunity to see your face beamed onto giant tree trunks are some of our favourites this year!

The trail will also feature firm favourites from previous years, including the giant mirror ball, the popular bubble area, as well as immersive sound and light experience, The Singing Tree.

Westonbirt’s Christmas Village

Fresh for 2018 is an exciting new Christmas Village, adding another dimension to the magical festive experience for the whole family. Christmas choirs singing carols, traditional fairground rides and a host of food and drink options complete the evening outing – from falafel and burgers to hot chocolate and doughnuts. But remember to bring cash!

There are crafts to also keep little ones entertained. And for the first time, children will be able to write their Christmas wishes in a fun activity tent and then post them in one of our magical postboxes to be hung on the Wishing Tree.

There will also be visits from characters including Mr and Mrs Claus – so look out for them!

Enchanted Christmas tickets

With high demand and a limited number of evenings, unlike some events at Westonbirt Arboretrum, tickets for Enchanted Christmas have to be booked in advance – there is no availability on the gate.

Entrance time slots are every allocated 20 minutes to help ease congestion on the trail, but visitors are welcome to spend as long at they like in the Christmas Village.

Tickets are emailed to customers, but to help save paper, you can show the downloaded e-ticket on your phone.
