Cotswolds AONB Hare Trail to hold online auction for hares

They've been standing proudly throughout the Cotswolds, and now there's the chance to purchase one of the beautifully decorated sculptures, when Cotswolds AONB Hare Trail holds an online auction.

Following a successful summer, the Cotswolds AONB Hare Trail will hold an online auction on Friday 21 September 2018, offering the chance to purchase the lovely sculptures.

Following a pre-auction viewing at The King’s Head Hotel from Sunday 16 September 2018, the online auction allows bidders to purchase their favourite hare.

The hares’ designs encompass everything from gorgeous roses and constellations to animals and lavender; the impressive selection includes five-foot furry friends, 18-inch leverets, and special springer three-foot hares.

Offering even more incentive to put in a bid, the auction will support Caring for the Cotswolds visitor giving scheme, as well as Glorious Cotswold Grasslands; the two charity projects are part of the Cotswolds AONB and they will receive the net profits from the auction.

All the hares can be viewed online via cotswoldsharetrail.org.uk, while the auction goes live on Friday 21 September 2018 via app.galabid.com/hares.

For more information see Cotswold AONB Hare Trail, or visit cotswoldsharetrail.org.uk directly.
