Gloucester’s Art Deco picture house, Sherborne Cinema, offers an intimate setting for catching the latest releases along with arthouse flicks, vintage classics and children’s films.
The 1930s-themed cinema opened in Kingsholm in spring 2015 and is housed in the 134-year-old Christadelphian Hall, which seats 141 people in the to the one-screen cinema.
With up to two screenings per evening and up to three at weekends, film-goers can soak up the boutique cinema experience, which harks back to the golden age of the big screen, and enjoy no adverts before shows, with the films starting promptly at the stated times.
Offering great value, tickets to the shows start at £4 per person during the school holidays.
Stock up on snacks before the film at the kiosk which sells fresh popcorn, crisps, sweets and Italian ice-cream along with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks.
