Gloucester locals won’t have to trek all the way to London to experience the festival vibes of Notting Hill Carnival, as Café Rene opens its doors to host Nott the Notting Hill Carnival 2019.
What started as a private joke between staff who had to stay behind and run the pub whilst everyone else went to party in London, has blossomed into a real highlight on the county’s summer calendar, with this year’s soirée taking place on Sunday 25 August 2019.
Promising to be bigger and better than ever before, festival fans can expect to find a Rum Shebeen Bar serving up a special rum punch, a huge selection of rum and of course, Red Stripe.
Café Rene will be firing up its barbecue, while hungry party-goers can also sample Caribbean classics such as jerk chicken and curried goat.
Plus, some of the venue’s best loved DJs will be spinning the decks all day long, with the party continuing into the night and promising an unmissable event this summer.
