Cheltenham's annual business summit is back for a second year this October 2026, with local SMEs invited to discover a new accreditation platform aimed at helping them get to grips with net zero.
What is the Cheltenham Business Summit?
First held in October 2025, the Cheltenham Business Summit brings together businesses from all sectors to share knowledge, tools and opportunities to help boost the local economy and strengthen the borough's commitment to net zero.
Led by Cheltenham Borough Council's cross sector net zero initiative, Cheltenham Zero, in collaboration with Together Gloucestershire, C2S, The Growth Hub Gloucestershire, Cheltenham BID, Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, and Marketing Cheltenham, this year's event will focus on the launch of a new net zero accreditation system for Gloucestershire SMEs, PathZero.
What is PathZero?
Cheltenham Zero is launching its new digital roadmap to net zero, PathZero, at the summit, offering unique target-based accreditation to local SMEs.
The online platform aims to help businesses 'demystify' the process of becoming net zero by guiding them through step-by-step, measuring their baseline, setting targets, and ultimately achieving their roadmap.
Offering something different to SMEs than larger scale accreditations, businesses progress through four stages – bronze, silver, gold and platinum – by completing actions and achieving carbon reduction targets.
The 2026 Cheltenham Business Summit will provide the first opportunity for businesses to sign up to the scheme.
Where and when is the Cheltenham Business Summit 2026?
This year's Cheltenham Business Summit takes place at The Queens Hotel in Cheltenham on Thursday 22 October 2026, from 5.30pm till 7.30pm.
