Gloucestershire College is holding an apprenticeship open evening for prospective apprentices, with many of the county’s top employers present and ready to recruit.
Apprenticeships are attracting more people than ever, particularly for the benefit of being able to earn a salary while you learn, while getting hands on-experience in the workplace.
The college, which has campuses in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Forest of Dean, is an award-winning provider of apprenticeships across 17 industries.
Its programmes cover occupations from construction, professional services, engineering, dental, catering, hairdressing and teaching, to roles in the increasingly important field of cyber security and computing.
Its apprenticeship open evening will take place on Wednesday 25 February 2026 from 5pm to 8pm at its Gloucester Campus, Llanthony Road, beside the city docks.
The free event will showcase the vast array of options the college provides; from lower levels, to full-time Level 6 degree apprenticeships (equal to a university degree).
Visitors will be able to speak directly to the employers about the apprenticeships they offer, with a wide range of companies expected to be on hand; it will even be possible to apply for an apprenticeship programme of choice on the night.
Gloucestershire College staff and tutors will also be available to assist further with questions and applications.
