Aspiring apprentices can sample a taste of life at Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET) centre this February, as it hosts its annual open evening event.

Taking place on Thursday 8 February from 4pm to 6pm at its Barnwood Point facility on Corinium Avenue, the evening will include live demonstrations, tours of the facility, talks with staff, as well as opportunities to chat to existing apprentices about their experiences.

GET has been training apprentices for over 40 years in areas such as welding, fabrication, machining and electrical skills. It offers courses at a variety of levels, from level 3 qualifications (equivalent to an A level), to level 4 and 5 courses, which provide apprentices with Higher National Certificates.
