Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a fun-filled summer afternoon at the Lives of Colour: Culture Fest 2023.
The free event, hosted by Cheltenham charity Lives of Colour, takes place from 12pm until 8pm on Saturday 10 June 2023 at Pittville Park, inviting residents and visitors to come together to celebrate the town's multi-cultural community.
The first ever Culture Fest in 2022 was a huge success, with the charity bringing bright colours, gorgeous smells and non-stop dancing back to Pittville Park for another year.
The 2023 event features a range of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds, including face painting and traditional dance lessons, with live music sure to keep spirits high throughout the afternoon.
There's also authentic global grub to tuck into and cool refreshments on offer from a variety of vendors.
Lives of Colour works with businesses, schools and other agencies to provide training on inclusivity in the workplace and has run a number of successful projects, including the Authors of Colour project that promotes Black literature and characters in local schools, as well as a collaboration with Cheltenham-based global fashion brand Superdry.
Race inequality and discrimination are an ongoing issue for people in Gloucestershire, but Culture Fest 2023 hopes to break down divisive barriers and provide a non-judgemental space for all.
