Where There is Light at Gloucester Cathedral

A new interactive and immersive walkthrough art installation is heading to Gloucester Cathedral in 2020.

Published

An incredibly immersive art installation is heading to Gloucester Cathedral at the start of 2020. So, get those cameras at the ready, because just like Luke Jerram’s Moon, this one is crying out for an Instagram post!

Taking place from Thursday 16 January until Sunday 23 February 2020, Where There is Light is an immersive walkthrough exhibition that will be installed in the cathedral’s Lady Chapel.

The exhibition recognises the contribution made by refugees through history and marks the 20th anniversary of Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (GARAS). It also marks 80 years since 10 German ‘Kindertransport’ boys were brought to the city and looked after by Gloucester Association for Refugees ahead of the Second World War.
