For those after a spot of dramatic romance, productions of Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion are also on the bill — perfect for Jane Austen fans!

Music concerts at Tuckwell Amphitheatre

Music lovers can look forward to A Swinging Summer Evening as Cheltenham musician Peter Gill returns to Tuckwell with the Good Time Charlies for a session of piano jams, boogie-woogie and rock ‘n’ roll on Friday 11 August 2023.

Plus, those fond of a soprano or two won't want to miss Opera Anywhere's performance of quirky comic opera, The Mikado, on the final day of the festival on Sunday 13 August 2023 — expect thrills and spills, and thanks to the wonderful vocals, a side of chills.

Family theatre at Tuckwell Amphitheatre

Laughter and lunacy is in abundance as Heartbreak Productions brings David Walliams's much-loved book, Bad Dad to life on Sunday 6 August 2023. There's also a chance to fall down the rabbit hole with a mystical iteration of Alice in Wonderland on Thursday 10 August 2023; with one important reminder from the white rabbit — don't be late!

Finally, with boundless opportunities for audience participation, dazzling costumes and an original telling of the tale, Immersion Theatre takes audiences on a trip down the yellow brick road in The Wizard of Oz on Saturday 12 August 2023.

Please note, audiences should bring along low-backed seating and dress for all weathers.
