Fierce competition between excellent riders at the top of their game awaits at the Cornbury House Horse Trials, as it returns from Wednesday 6 September to Sunday 10 September 2023.
The five-day event is one of the most exciting international equestrian contests in the UK. Having been re-established in 2020 by Cornbury House Horse Trials founder and president, David Howden, the absence of a number of years means the event will have a new look and feel for 2023 — with fresh and exciting additions for spectators to look forward to.
Howden said: 'With its visually stunning backdrops of Cornbury House and the Wychwood Forest, as well as thrilling sport and family-friendly entertainment across the weekend, Cornbury House Horse Trials promises a wonderful afternoon for all.'
High-stakes equestrian action takes centre stage, but with the introduction of Field Food, a showcase of locally-produced artisan food and drink, there's plenty to explore away from the dressage and cross-country arenas.
A range of offerings from local farms can be browsed by visitors across the five days, with a selection of local ales to sample from the on-site bar, the Wychwood Inn.
Plus, on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September 2023, there's the opportunity for families to engage in Wildwood Crafts throughout the afternoon, with children under 12 able to participate for free.
Live music and a host of other live entertainment on Friday and Saturday wrap up the jam-packed eventing days.
Ticket prices range from £5 per person for the Wednesday, up to £30 per person for the full five-day ticket. Children under the age of 12 years old enter for free.
Parking is also free with a valid ticket purchase.
