Stroud Brewery hosts the three-day Malty Story Festival this June 2024 to celebrate the much-loved organic brewery turning 18.

The much-loved Stroud Brewery turns 18-years-old this year — and it's hosting a big bash to celebrate with Malty Story Festival taking place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June 2024.

Hosted at its gorgeous canalside taproom, there's live bands, DJ sets, children's entertainment, live graffiti and plenty more, with over 40 acts spread across the three-day event.

There's also specially brewed beer just for the occasion, with Stroud Brewery bringing back some of its best-selling beers from its 18-year history, as well as some brand-new offerings, too.

SoGlos rounds up the highlights — we're getting thirsty already!

Friday at Malty Story Festival

Proceedings kick off from 4pm on Friday, so it's straight from the office to Stroud Brewery to get the weekend started.

Love Circus takes over the taproom with breathtaking circus and burlesque for starters; DJ Juicy, local legend DJ Will Mendoza and Wax founder DJ Fade are on the decks; with live blues and roots music from The Achievers, chilled beats and slick vocals from rising star Komposa, unique rock covers played on ukulele from Plucking Different and energetic skiffle pop covers from Friday headliner and festival favourite, Thrill Collins.

Saturday at Malty Story Festival

Starting the party on Saturday is a takeover from Valley Steppas bringing the Reggae Balcony Bar Splash from 11am, showcasing the very best reggae and dub artists from the Stroud Valleys.

DJ Robbie Duncan, DJ Pete Daisy and DJ collective Jungle Cast are spinning the wax, there's live music from Kingsonik, Man Like Bro, The Lookout, Adjua, The Honest Poet Society, Rudi, Skunkadelic and The Digital Kid — and headlining on Saturday night, don't miss drum and bass icon Nicky Blackmarket with MC Supa D.

Sunday at Malty Story Festival

Sunday starts with the Sweet Soul Sunday All Dayer from Tony Soulprano and Friends from 11am. Fidel Cutstro is DJing and there's live music from local busker D'Artagnan, The Bob Porter Project, The Swing Rioters, Albino Tarantino, Poppy Rose and Thee Ones.

Then closing out the festival is Sunday headliner, the legendary Bristol Hi-Fi's DJ Queen Bee on the decks until late.
